Mirwaiz condemns death of Ramban man, seeks "exemplary" punishment for culprits | KNO

Srinagar, April 15 (KNO): Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday said that the "poison of cow vigilantism" is now being spread to Jammu Kashmir, reffering to the death of a man in Ramban In a post on X, Mirwaiz, per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said Tanveer Ahmad Chopan (25) of Ramban was brutally chased and assaulted while ferrying a milch cow and two calves on Sunday. He said this is highly condemnable and unacceptable and those behind this incident should be given exemplary punishment to nip this evil in the bud. "Otherwise it can have repercussions for which those in authority will be responsible," he added—(KNO)
